Housing Element


The County of Modoc is in the process of preparing an update to their Housing Element. The Housing Element, part of the County’s General Plans, is a policy document that addresses existing and future housing needs for all County residents and economic groups.  The State of California requires by law that the Housing Element be updated periodically, generally every four to five years.  For this program, the Housing Element will be updated for the current 2014-2019 cycle.


The Modoc County Board of Supervisors and Planning Commissioners invite the public to an upcoming workshop/meeting to discuss these Housing Elements.  This will be the third workshop on the subject and will focus on review of the Draft 2014-19 Housing Element.  The meeting will be held:

Price Consulting Services, who is assisting with this project, will provide a presentation on the Housing Element Update at the workshop/meeting.  The public is encouraged to attend the workshop and offer comments on the process.
