Modoc County Building Department
The primary function of the Building Department is to safeguard the life, health, and property of Modoc County residents through the application of uniform building standards. The adopted standards involve design, materials, construction, use, occupancy, and location of all buildings and structures within the unincorporated area of the County. This Department strives to implement these standards in a fair and consistent fashion while maintaining an open dialogue with the public and various building trades.
